At the 2023 Conference of the European Association for the Study of Religion (EASR), 4-8 September in Vilnius (Lithuania), the Covirel-Network was founded. Members of different research projects as well as individual researchers around Europe met to talk about their projects regarding religion and the pandemic, share first insights, and connect to other researchers. The common interest of researching the impacts and consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic for religion and religious groups and traditions lead to a wide range of research foci, methods, and questions became visible.
The Covirel network wants to bring those different projects together and connect researchers with different approaches, but the shared topic of Covid and Religion.
